Music using AI, or artificial intelligence, has become extremely popular lately. Everyone from Beyonce to Ariana Grande to Rihanna’s voice have been used to make AI music and covers of other songs. But, this new technology might cause more problems and ethical dilemmas than it might solve. Artists like Drake feel like AI has already gone too far, and don’t appreciate artists such as ghostwriter using “his” voice to create music. Ghostwriter created the song Heart on My Sleeve, which “featured” the Weeknd, using AI. The songs has since been taken off streaming service, and has opened questions as to whether an artist’s voice can truly be copyrighted.
