AI Singapore, MINDEF award five teams with S$20m in research funding to boost capabilities
The Ministry of Defence is working with AI Singapore to elevate the country’s capability in artificial intelligence. Up to S$20 million in funding has been made available to support research ideas to address vulnerabilities in AI models. Five teams of researchers — from different local and overseas universities, A*STAR and industry partners — have been selected to receive the funding. Presenting the awards, Senior Minister of State for Defence Heng Chee How said MINDEF will continue to collaborate with local and global partners to improve Singapore’s capabilities.
