How Ai is disrupting the music industry

Amid the ongoing Hollywood writers and actors’ strikes, musicians are now concerned about the use of artificial intelligence in their industry. Music Producer Jason Edmond joins Yahoo Finance Live anchor Rachelle Akuffo to discuss how AI will automate music releases and the gray areas in copyright laws that artists are becoming increasingly concerned about. “Ownership rights over the creation of a melody is a very BIG component to the music business,” the author of Music at the Speed of AI explains. “And so when you take something like AI and copyright a set of melodies that essentially would cover all melodies because that’s what AI can do, it does add a little bit of anxiety there and a little bit of worry.”
