AI-generated books are invading Amazon
Amazon and other online bookstores are facing a new threat in the form of computer-generated books. According to a report by The New York times, programs like ChatGPT essentially scrape information from already published books and regurgitate that content in the form of a new digital book. One author claims to have discovered AI-created books for sale on Amazon that were advertised as being written by her. Amazon says that kind of thing violates their copyright rules but doesn’t outright ban AI-generated book content. KTLA’s Andy Riesmeyer reports.
